Emerging Threats of Internet of Things (IOT): Leveraging the Impact of Digital Stress on Employee Well-Being

This paper aims at analyzing the novel risks arising from the Internet of Things (IoT) in wearing environments and looking at digital stress more closely. That advanced connectivity and easy control over IoT has positive impact on connectivity and productivity but has negative effects on technostress because technology has become persistent as well persistent demands on employees. Basing on the concept of technostress, this study stands to reason that IoT is accompanied with possible risks in as much as we ass, From the above, this study aims at determining the challenges employees experience among them digital stress which is known to affect the mental state and overall production of employees. This paper uses bibliometric, epistemological, and substantive analyses to systematically scrutinize and categorize stress factors related to the IoT. With these analyses, this paper offers a framework that defines specific IoT-induced stressors, which might serve as a starting point for subsequent quantitative studies on reducing digital stress when working with IoT in organizations. In the end, this framework will help organizations to cope with the digital stress, increase employee efficiency and promote proper mental health in the context of the digital interconnectedness of the world.
