5G Applications Using High Gain Broadband 2x 2 MIMO-Array Antenna

Fifth Generation has become the most trending topic to be researched in the field of wireless communication. This paper has worked on 5G MIMO antenna for compact structure, high gain & wide bandwidth. The proposed design consist of two input & two output ports and each port consist of 10 arbitrarily shaped patches arranged in tapered type of array. The complete designing& simulation is performed on CST-Microwave studio. With the help of software, in this paper different characteristics parameter has been calculated. The proposed design is able to achieve broadband from 27.446 GHz to 30.518 GHz which is around 3.072 GHz bandwidth. From the results, for the entire bandwidth from 27.446 to 30.518 return loss is better than -10 dB, VSWR is less than 2:1, gain is higher than 13 dBi, ECC is less than 0.0018, TARC is shifted for the different excitation angle and CCL is less than 0.3 bit/s/Hz. Lastly, in this paper proposed design is compared with previous research papers.
