Research on the Size of the Grid for the Simulation of Wind Flow in Mountainous Areas
For the micro-topography in mountainous areas, its geometric features have obvious characteristics of blunt bodies, and its flow characteristics also have obvious characteristics of blunt body wake flow. The accuracy of the results is closely related to the quality of the flow field grid. Although the adaptive grid can adapt to the mountainous terrain, this paper conducts research on the size setting of the adaptive grid and uses a simplified mountain model to compare the influence of grid density on the simulation results of the wind field in mountainous micro-topography. It is determined that the minimum grid size can be selected within the range of 0.003m to 0.006m based on computer resources, and the growth rate of the grid size should not exceed 1.5.
