Impact of Social E-commerce on Purchasing Patterns and Opinion Shifts
This paper aims to study the holistic impact of the growth of e-commerce and how the growing online social activities have changed the landscape of e-commerce. Simultaneously the study also finds out about the opinion shift of customers of social e-commerce and their usage patterns. With the massive growth of e-commerce and the integrated social activities on these platforms, understanding the perception of common people becomes important. The objective is to design well-rounded research to gather honest and unfiltered thoughts of customers shopping online and participating in social activities. The proposed methodology is to take in-person surveys of random people to avoid bias. The in-person survey methodology helps in gathering accurate and real data. These surveys have uncovered vital points about how a common customer trusts the platforms that provide accurate information about the products, provide accessibility to talk to the seller and how various platforms compare on different parameters. This study's results provide foundational knowledge on the paradigm shift in the e-commerce industry due to the integration of social activities.
