Study on Accuracy Degradation Experimental of RV Reducer*
As the performance demands for precision reducers continue to increase, accuracy retention has become a critical evaluation criterion. This study examines the degradation of the RV reducer accuracy by analyzing real-time monitoring data, transmission performance test results, and cycloid gear surface wear measurements. The analysis identifies key characteristic variations throughout the accuracy degradation process and confirms that the degradation follows the typical wear pattern, often referred to as the "bathtub curve." Furthermore, the study reveals that the wear on the RV reducer cycloid gears is uneven along the circumferential direction, with notable differences in the wear and load bearing conditions between the two cycloid gears.
