Abstract

The Study explore the turning potential of Artificial Intelligence to bring about the improvement in teacher well-being and advancement of educational outcomes in Indian secondary schools. Certainly, teachers in this level of education face an array of challenges on high workloads, job satisfaction, and retention, with AI technologies presenting innovative solutions for educators. The study elucidates current challenges accompanying teachers in Indian secondary schools, emphasizing the importance of their well-being for purposeful education. It covers the applications of AI in workload management, facilitating professional development and supporting emotions, and both general and specific examples of effective implementation in the specific context of Indian schools. For instance, research across geographies shows valuable positive outcomes, like a reduction in administrative workloads, greater student performance, and improved teacher well-being. It discusses ethical considerations, including data privacy and algorithmic bias, followed by future research directions and opportunities of AI in education. This has been done by pointing out the need with relevance of continuing research and development, henceforth providing trends forthcoming and areas that can further be looked into in this regard.
