DCI-Monitor: A Flexible and Efficient Network Quality Measurement System for Global Data Center Interconnects
In the context of highly integrated cloud-network environments, comprehensive and accurate information about inter-data center network quality is crucial. While many monitoring systems provide such services, they face two challenges: balancing measurement accuracy with cost, and offering rich measurement configuration interfaces. This paper presents DCl-Monitor, a network measurement system for monitoring global DCl network service quality. Inspired by SDN, DCl-Monitor automates processes including parsing measurement requirements, generating tasks and configurations, resolving resource conflicts, and executing tasks. This significantly enhances the accuracy, flexibility, and robustness of network measurements.
