Recent and Future Automotive Applications and Technology in Sustainable Supply Chain Management Logistics

Using up-to-the-moment information on traffic patterns in the city, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) aim to give users actionable advice on how to reduce their carbon footprint without sacrificing the efficiency with which they navigate the roads. The transportation industry increasingly relies on cloud computing services for tasks like processing, communication, and storage, and this has increased the load on the systems monitoring traffic. Modern ITS includes dynamic pricing, which enables more efficient and cost-effective management of problems like congestion control and peak load reduction. Both conventional and alternative fuel transportation can benefit from dynamic pricing. Cutting down on unnecessary travel time and gas use is one way to make people more eco-aware in our society. There has been a long-standing problem with developing dynamic pricing structures for ITS. Longer waiting times, more air and noise pollution, wasted electricity, and other resources are all possible results of inefficient vehicle management. However, it is possible that both service providers and users may benefit from well-implemented dynamic pricing models. A thorough transition from conventional to sustainable supply chains has long been underway in several industries. One of the biggest and most significant industries in the world, the automotive sector, could significantly affect the shift to a sustainable society. The report concludes by outlining research gaps, offering suggestions for additional study, and offering a helpful framework for creating a sustainable automotive supply chain.
