The Competitive Advantages of the Malaysian Batik Workshop
Batik has its unique interactive activities for tourists. This research aims to provide competitive advantages needed in the Batik activities business use case study on My Batik, one of the batik workshop businesses. To extract the competitive advantage of the batik workshop, this research employs natural language processing with a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model to predict the main categories from the dataset. The dataset is built from public reviews from TripAdvisor and Google reviews. The LDA model identified five key themes: friendly and helpful services, qualified and knowledgeable trainers, various activities, cultural authenticity of products, and a conducive learning environment. These themes represent the workshop's competitive strengths and offer insights into enhancing visitor experiences and promoting cultural tourism. The findings provide a framework for similar cultural enterprises to understand customer preferences and improve service offerings.
