Power Divider for SWIPT Systems Based on Power Splitting Architecture
This article presents a power divider suitable for realizing a SWIPT (Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer) system, based on power splitting architecture. A power divider which can provide tunable power division ratio is presented in this design. In the designed structure, the return loss and isolation are higher than −15 dB at the centre frequency of 2.45 GHz and provides a band width of 1.2 GHz at 10 dB return loss. Impedance tuning by varactor diodes are used to attain tunable insertion loss and hence power division ratio. Ability to provide different power division ratios at the centre frequency justifies that this power divider is suitable for power splitting in applications related to SWIPT techniques.
