Rocker-Bogie Mobility System: Enhancing Mobility for Individuals with Physical Disabilities
Mobility limits have risen over the past 10 years for those with physical disabilities, especially those with illnesses like spinal stenosis. In order to improve mobility and independence, this proposal presents a rocker-bogie system that is integrated with patient-controlled seating. The system, which is made of sturdy and reasonably priced PVC, offers precise control using a DC motor and momentary switches. Odometry guarantees precise movement monitoring, and its energy-efficient design prolongs service life. Improved mobility and quality of life have been shown in clinical trials, and future advancements like adaptive control interfaces and autonomous navigation may be possible.
