Job Analysis of Personal Trainers Using DACUM (Developing A Curriculm)
This study was conducted to systematically analyze the job duties and identify the competencies of personal trainers. Using the DACUM technique, expert opinions were gathered, and a survey was<br/>conducted with 81 personal trainers. The results identified 8 duties and 52 tasks as core competencies for personal trainers. The main duties included client consultation and fitness assessment, exercise program design and planning, exercise instruction and supervision, safety and cleanliness, client communication and relationship building, ethics and leadership, client data management, and professional development. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of educational programs and improvement of certification systems for personal trainers. However, there was a discrepancy in perception between expert groups and field trainers regarding personal branding and marketing duties, suggesting the need for further research in this area.
