Cover Feature: Structures and Properties of Axially Chiral (2 E ,4 E ,6 Z ,8 Z )‐Nona‐2,4,6,8‐Tetraenoate Derivatives Highly Substituted by Aryl Groups (Chem. Eur. J. 14/2025)

Unprecedented (2E,4E,6Z,8Z)-nona-2,4,6,8-tetraenoate derivatives with potential axial chirality were synthesized from rhodium complexes bearing aryl-substituted hexa-1,3,5-trienyl ligands. A cyclic dimer obtained by head-to-tail transesterification of a modified analog exhibited persistent axial chirality. Furthermore, the chiral cyclic dimer demonstrated solid-state circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) activity. More information can be found in the Research Article by K. Maeda, T. Taniguchi and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202404565).
