Leader‐Following Consensus of Switched Multi‐Agent Systems Under Distributed Integral‐Based Event‐Triggered Scheme and Persistent Dwell Time

ABSTRACT This article addresses the leader‐following consensus problem for switched multi‐agent systems under a distributed integral‐based event‐triggered scheme and an agent‐dependent switching signal with the persistent dwell time constraints. Firstly, a distributed integral‐based event‐triggered scheme is proposed, which employs only discrete information of neighboring agents and reduces communication transmission. Meanwhile, the introduction of the integral‐based term expands the triggering interval. In addition, Zeno behavior is strictly excluded. Secondly, for each agent with switching dynamics, an agent‐dependent switching signal is designed that satisfies the persistent dwell time constraint. This signal allows subsystems to switch quickly in a short period of time. Furthermore, a distributed control protocol based on dynamic compensators is designed to guarantee that switched multi‐agent systems achieve the leader‐following consensus. Finally, an example provides the validity for the theoretical results.
