Global Output Feedback Stabilization for a Class of MIMO Nonlinear Systems With Coupling Nonlinearities

ABSTRACT This article aims to address the global output feedback control problem for a class of multi‐input multi‐output nonlinear systems. The motivations/difficulties mainly lie in designing the observer for unmeasurable states and achieving the global exponential stability of the closed‐loop system under the hypothesis that there are multiple state couplings of different subsystems. Based on the development of observers that have an identical gain and discard the information of complicated nonlinearities, an output compensator is successfully constructed by fixing nonseparation principle paradigm and using feedback domination strategy, making the closed‐loop system globally exponentially stable. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is validated through practical/numerical examples.
