RECOGNITION AS A REPRODUCTIVE AND HEURISTIC ACTIVITY OF A PSYCHOLOGIST

He article outlines a solution to the problem of the subject of psychodiagnostics based on the recognition category. It is proposed to use it in solving evaluation and assessment problems in which, when moving from signs to categories of mental properties and from psychological problems to mental properties of mental systems, there are no one-to-one connections, and knowledge of signs and problems does not guarantee a correct diagnosis. It is also proposed to consider recognition as a reproductive professional thinking activity of a practical psychologist, which, when being studied by means of scientific methods, transforms into a scientific discipline having its own object and subject. It is argued that in this case its object is the interaction of recognition participants, and the subject is the substantial characteristics of the functional recognition structure, which form four areas of the problem field of the subject of psychodiagnostics, one of which refers not only to psychological, but also to other types of diagnostics.
