Current reflections on the cause-effect and functional relationship between political science and scientific policy in the Republic of Moldova
In this article, some aspects of the cause-effect and functional relationship between political science and science policy in the Republic of Moldova are analyzed. The author examines, first of all, the theoretical dimensions of mutual influence between political science and scientific policy. Second, almost half of the volume of the article is devoted to empirical material on the causal and functional capacities of political science and science policy. Examples of cause and effect are given about the contradictions that appear between political science and scientific policy both at the general-national and local level, including within the State University of Moldova. Thirdly, it is possible to adequately evaluate the correlation between political science and scientific policy of states in change like the Republic of Moldova based on some criteria: historical; of political regime; to modernize the relationship between science and politics; the state of the political culture of politicians and researchers, etc. According to these criteria, the cause and effect between political science and scientific policy in Moldova is distinguished by complex dichotomous manifestations: open/latent, intentional/unintentional, direct/indirect, linear/nonlinear, regular/ irregular. Such dichotomies have their specificity in the conditions of the transition to democracy of the Republic of Moldova, being within the democratic process the product of the ambivalence of political modernization.
