For the Soviet ideology, the modernist methodology, worldview, and theories werabsolutely unacceptable from the beginning. This policy of non-acceptance was distinguished by its strategy and characteristics and at different stages which was characterized by duality of the position, positive and negative perception of the problem.1. By positive tendency we mean the fact that Modernism and its directions were the complete systems, it was considered as the result – the “ready-made model” “inserted” into Georgian creative space.2. Negative perspective of the perception of the problem was more radical. According to it, avantgardism was considered in Georgian culture as an artificial turn for demonstrating style and originality.
