Ubi ius, ibi traductio

This article is part of the field of Law and Literature studies. Based on postulates from the theory of literature and Gadamerian philosophical hermeneutics, it seeks to recover the symmetry between translator and interpreter in order to deal specifically with the Law-Translation relationship, which offers themes that are still unpublished in the Brazilian academic context and, in addition to providing opportunities for the development of interdisciplinary research, favors a critical-reflective stance on the role of Law itself.

Abstract

This article is part of the field of Law and Literature studies. Based on postulates from the theory of literature and Gadamerian philosophical hermeneutics, it seeks to recover the symmetry between translator and interpreter in order to deal specifically with the Law-Translation relationship, which offers themes that are still unpublished in the Brazilian academic context and, in addition to providing opportunities for the development of interdisciplinary research, favors a critical-reflective stance on the role of Law itself.
