Active Switched-Inductor Based Step-Up DC-DC Converter Suitable for Photovoltaic Applications

This paper suggests a modified structure for Active Switched-Inductor (ASL) based dc-dc converters, which takes the advantage of high voltage boosting capability and low voltage stress on the devices. Moreover, the availability of common ground point removes the PV leakage current at solar applications. The suggested configuration has only two working modes in continuous conduction mode (CCM) operation, which eases its control and modeling. This paper also provides steady-state analysis of suggested structure. Moreover, it is compared with similar counterparts to verify its competitiveness. Finally, the simulation analysis has been presented, which confirms correct operation of suggested structure.
