An Asymmetric Double-Source DC-Link Capacitors Based 11-Level Inverter with Reduced Components
This paper suggests an improved structure for DC-link capacitor based Multi-Level Inverters (MLIs) that employs two input sources, two DC-link capacitors and seven switches to provide eleven voltage levels at the output. Increased number of levels per devices, as well as reduced total blocking voltage on switching devices are main benefits of suggested inverter. Moreover, it doesn’t require an H-bridge for bipolar waveform. Thus, the number of switches tolerating maximum output voltage decreases to two. The suggested topology can effectively feed variety of load types. The supremacy of suggested topology over its similar peers has been verified by comparison analysis. The simulation and experimental analysis have also been provided to make sure of correct performance of suggested 11-level inverter.
