Cutting-Edge Solutions Exploring the Experimental Possibilities of Route Optimization with Wireless Sensor Networks

One of the major developments in the field of wireless communication over the last several decades has been the rise of wireless sensor networks (WSN), which are networks of inexpensive, power-limited devices. Although they are essential for data transmission, sensor nodes have a finite quantity of power. Energy is lost while the transfer is happening. The primary difficulties of a WSN are, then, energy consumption and the longevity of the network. The ideal route between source and destination nodes, in which it will maximize energy saving in a network, has been the subject of much research in recent years as well as making a routing algorithm that accounts for the two main concerns reducing energy usage and increasing network lifetime is the real problem. There are a number of improvement methods that may be used to find a routing path from one node to another. Both the dynamically efficient routing method and power management techniques have attracted a lot of interest from researchers for their ability to lower the energy consumption of sensor nodes on an individual basis. In this research, a new approach is suggested called Novel Network Optimization Protocol (NNOP). Its purpose is to find and set up the shortest path between two sensor nodes, with the distance being the metric of evaluation. Compared to NNOP performance under the identical conditions as well as the conventional routing model called Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), the findings obtained from Matlab simulation demonstrated superior performance in energy conservation. This enhanced routing method has potential for usage in WSN-based industrial applications.
