Design and Evaluation of Connectivity Based Home Automation System Based on Arduino
IoT encompasses interconnected devices that exchange data autonomously, enabling automation. Raspberry Pi, a compact computer, serves as an affordable platform for DIY projects, education, and IoT uses. The CHASA model integrates Arduino Nano and Arduino Mega modules to optimize energy efficiency in home automation networks. The model employs unidirectional communication and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption to minimize power consumption and enhance security. Experimentation evaluates the model's performance across key metrics, showcasing its superiority over existing protocols. Results reveal CHASA's higher packet delivery ratio, energy efficiency, lower data loss, routing overhead, and average delay. Comparative analysis demonstrates CHASA's effectiveness in enhancing IoT network performance and energy conservation.
