Analysis of High Boost Factor Topology for Switched Impedance Inverter with Low Input Current Ripple
In this paper, a high boost factor switched impedance inverter topology is proposed. The innovative switched impedance network enables flexible operation with various switching control methods. Notably, the converter exhibits a low input current ripple, making it well-suited for renewable energy applications. A detailed analysis of the proposed topology’s operation in different modes and the design considerations associated with the employed control method are presented. To facilitate a comprehensive comparison, the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed topology in various aspects are discussed. Finally, to validate the theoretical analysis, simulation results obtained using PSCAD/EMTDC are presented.
