B2BIoT: Efficient and Secured Wireless Body-to-Body Data Communication by using Smart Wearable Sensors

This research presents “B2BIoT,” an efficient and secure wireless body-to-body communication system using Human Body Communication (HBC) and smart wearable sensors. The proposed system employs the human body as a medium to transmit data between wearable devices through capacitive and galvanic coupling techniques. Extensive simulations and real-world tests were conducted to evaluate signal attenuation, transmission rates, power consumption, and security. Results showed that at a frequency of 10 MHz, the system achieved optimal signal strength with an attenuation of 4–7 dB across different body parts. The system recorded a data transmission rate of 55 Kbps with an error rate of 1.3% during indoor tests and 2.0% in outdoor conditions. The accuracy of the system was measured at 98% in controlled environments and 96% in dynamic real-world settings. Power consumption was efficient, with an average energy consumption of 60 mJ for a complete transmission session. Security tests confirmed minimal signal leakage, particularly at lower frequencies. The findings indicate that the B2BIoT system is a secure and energy-efficient solution for real-time data transmission between wearable devices in applications such as healthcare and fitness tracking.
