Evaluating Key Performance Parameters of Hermetically Sealed Oil Transformers: A Study on Load Losses, No-Load Losses, and Leakage Impedance
This paper focuses on the design of hermetically sealed transformers. These transformers are produced in a controlled environment, significantly reducing the risk of moisture infiltration and contamination. The hermetic sealing process, which uses inert gases like nitrogen, minimizes the chances of moisture ingress and oxidation, ultimately extending the operational lifespan and reliability of the transformer. By employing analytical methods, this paper offers a comprehensive understanding of the essential design factors needed to create a robust, airtight transformer suitable for various harsh conditions. Key design aspects, including load losses, leakage inductance, and efficiency, are thoroughly examined in this study. Additionally, experimental tests are conducted to compare the results of the hermetically sealed transformer with traditional analytical methods, providing valuable insights into their performance.
