A modified Impedance-based Half-bridge Inverter

This paper proposes a modified impedance-based half-bridge inverter that is claimed to give a high voltage gain. The operation of this configuration will be observed through the operational stages’ analysis. The equations by which the size and ratings of the utilized active and passive devices are determined will then be obtained. To see the benefits and drawbacks of this topology, it will be compared with the other topologies of its sort from various aspects: boost factor, total voltage on the capacitors, total voltage blocked by diodes, and total voltage blocked by switches, as well as the count of used devices. Based on these comparisons, the proposed topology has better properties from different points of view compared to similar topologies. Finally, this paper ends by depicting the experimental results to see whether the proposed topology operates correctly or not, as well as verify the correctness of the equations.
