Design and Analysis of a Multi-Output DC-DC Converter for Automotive Applications with PI and FOPID Controllers

This paper describes a dc to de converter with many outputs designed to provide various voltage levels required for different automotive equipment, such as lighting and wipers. The proposed architecture independently delivers outputs of 24V, 12V, and 6V without mutual interference among the loads. The circuit is simulated using Matlab/Simulink, and both Proportional-Integral (PI) and Fractional Order Proportional-Integral-Derivative (FOPID) controllers are employed for closed-loop analysis. The proposed system generates regulated output without affecting other loads during their operations. Additionally, hardware configurations were implemented to verify the simulated outputs for 60V/12V, 6V, and 24V conversions. The results demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed converter design in practical applications.
