A IMPORTÂNCIA DAS EMBALAGENS METALIZADAS COMO BARREIRA PROTETORA E DE CONSERVAÇÃO DA PIPOCA DE MILHO CANJICA

The quality of industrialized popcorn depends on several factors, in addition to the quality of the raw material. The stability of the quantity of product packaged in plastic packaging is a critical aspect of quality in the popcorn industry. This article seeks to analyze the quality of bioriented polypropylene packaging used in the production process in a food industry in the popcorn segment that uses hominy corn. Its descriptive methodologies were visual, dimensional, and sensory analyses. Two (2) BOPP films of different structures were used with the sample, which resulted in the research data. It is necessary to implement efficient quality control to maintain the quality of packaging used in the food industry.
