Developed a novel reusable magnetic photocatalyst nanocomposite CoFe2O4/CuO/Ag3VO4 that effectively removes the harmful organic dye from wastewater under optimized conditions

A novel CoFe₂O₄/CuO/Ag₃VO₄ magnetic photocatalyst nanocomposite was effectively synthesized by employing a co-precipitation technique. The structure, magnetic properties, and morphologies of the nanocomposite were investigated using a variety of imaging techniques, including XRD, DRS, VSM, FE-SEM, TEM, and BET. At the DRS level, the band gaps of CoFe₂O₄, CoFe₂O₄/CuO, and CoFe₂O₄/CuO/AgₜVO₄ NPS were measured. They were 3.1, 2.9, and 2.7 eV, to be exact. In order to protect aquatic life and water supplies from harmful contaminants, this study aimed to remove CR dye from wastewater. Initial pollutant levels of 10, 30, and 50 ppm; H2O2 levels of 0.05 M and 0.1 M; pH levels ranging from 2 to 11; and photocatalyst doses of 0.5 g/L, 1 g/L, 2 g/L, and 3 g/L were used in the tests. Making a chemical that is stable, reusable, inexpensive, and useful for wastewater treatment is the goal of this endeavor. As for the parameters, the photocatalyst dose was 1 g/L, CR was 10 ppm, H2O2 was 0.1 M, and pH was 2. The hazardous Congo red dye was removed to the tune of 89.6 percent.
