Analysis status of hydrogen quality and its impact on fuel cell performance
With the rapid development of fuel cell technology, the impact of hydrogen quality on fuel cell performance is increasingly receiving attention. High purity hydrogen is crucial for the normal operation of fuel cells. Unqualified hydrogen can lead to a decrease in fuel cell performance, shortened lifespan, and even safety issues. This article first provides a detailed introduction to the main standards and impurity types for hydrogen quality testing, and systematically reviews the current analysis methods and detection equipment used for hydrogen quality. Meanwhile, this article focuses on the specific impact of impurities in hydrogen on the performance of fuel cells, and uses a highly integrated hydrogen quality detection vehicle to conduct 5 sets of impurity analysis on two different sources of hydrogen samples. The stability and accuracy of the detection vehicle were verified using impurities (total hydrocarbons) as an example, and the percentage limits of various impurities in the two samples were compared according to GB/T 37244-2018.
