Sequential solution algorithm of nine-point scheme for steam thermal recovery of heavy oil
This paper studies the numerical simulation of heavy oil steam thermal recovery. The traditional five-point scheme will cause grid orientation effect in the numerical simulation of heavy oil thermal recovery, that is, the simulation results will be different with the different grid division directions. Inaccurate prediction of simulation results will cause economic losses to reservoir production. In the framework of the sequential solution algorithm for steam thermal recovery of heavy oil, we use the nine-point scheme to alleviate the grid orientation effect in the numerical simulation of heavy oil steam thermal recovery. Furthermore, we demonstrate the effectiveness of this method through numerical examples.
