Four degree of freedom robot motion control based on PLC
Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, robots play an irreplaceable role, and industrial robots are a powerful factor to promote the development of production. Among them, the four-degree-of-freedom robot occupies a very high market rate, because the four-degree-of-freedom robot can not only realize the movement in X, Y and Z directions and the rotation around the Z axis, but also expand the workspace in the driving direction according to the operation requirements, thus increasing the scope of the workspace. In this study, the four-degree-of-freedom robot is modeled in UG first, and then the operation program is compiled in Portal for the whole model. In This paper, a MCD (Mechatronics Concept Designer, Mechatronics Conceptual Design Solution) simulation system of robot based on Siemens PLC is designed, which mainly uses UG to model the four-degree-of-freedom robot. The joint motion control simulation of the robot is carried out by using Portal programming and UG. Through the co-simulation experiment, the robot can achieve the predetermined movement under the control of Portal.
