Test on characteristics of liquid fire suppression under the car with air-water curtain containing fusiform orifice nozzle in spray booth
For the problem of extinguishing fire under the car in spray booths, a low-pressure air-water curtain fire extinguishing method was proposed, and traditional solid cone nozzles, fan-shaped nozzles, and six-fusiform orifice nozzles were selected. The extinguishing principle was analyzed, and the experimental scheme and experimental system were established. The liquid fire extinguishing characteristics of the low-pressure air-water curtain under the car were tested in the spraying booths. The results showed that the effective range and extinguishing time of low-pressure air-water curtain were better than those of water mist, the effective range of lateral spraying was better than that of conventional vertical spraying, and the effective fire extinguishing range of fusiform orifice nozzles was larger than that of solid cone nozzle and fan-shaped nozzle. The results also showed that the extinguishing effect was related to the horizontal distance, height and angle of nozzle installation, and extinguishing effect on air-water curtain of nozzle combination containing fusiform orifice nozzle can improve significantly.
