THE EFFECT OF THE INTRODUCTION OF GRAPHENE OXIDE INTO THE COMPOSITION OF CARBON GRAPHITE MATERIAL ON ITS PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
In this work the influence of graphene oxide introduction on physical and mechanical properties of antifriction material was investigated. Fine-grained graphite, natural graphite, coal pitch and graphene oxide were used as initial components. The technique of obtaining samples included preliminary crushing of raw materials, preparation of charge, hot mixing, preparation of press powder, pressing and firing. The physical and mechanical characteristics of experimental samples were compared: apparent density, compressive strength, volumetric shrinkage and mass change after firing. It is shown that the introduction of graphene oxide contributes to changes in the structure and properties of carbon graphite material, in particular, the volumetric shrinkage and strength characteristics increase significantly.
