THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE OF THE SHORT-RANGE ORDER AND THE PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF GLASSES xNa2O∙xBaO∙(100-2x)B2O3
Using IR spectroscopy, studies of the structure of the near-order glasses of one of the sections of the Na2O-BaO-B2O3 system were carried out. The values of the tetrahedral boron fraction and its dependence on the composition are determined. The correlation between the basic structural units and the glass transition temperature is shown.
