LANTHANIDE ION DOPING AS A WAY TO CONTROL THE PROPERTIES OF BOROSILICATE GLASSES USED IN PHOTOVOLTAICS
The paper considers the effect of sodoping with cerium and gadolinium ions on the structure of aluminosilicate glass. It was found that compositions with a high content of Gd2O3 show a tendency to glass formation, increasing the degree of polymerization of the silicon mesh and at the same time shifting the equilibrium BØ30 ↔ BØ4 to the formation of symmetric boron triangles, which is reflected in the greatest decrease in TCLE for this composition compared with matrix glass.
