SYNTHESIS OF LITHIUM NICKELATE OF ALMOST STOICHEOMETRIC COMPOSITION BY COMBINED APPROACH
Lithium nickelate of almost stoichiometric composition (Li1-xNi1+xO2) was synthesized using a combined sol-gel method with solid-phase termination. This approach is energy efficient, low-cost, and does not require the use of expensive precursors (nickel is oxidized with sodium hypochlorite at the sol-gel synthesis stage). Based on experimentally obtained data, optimal synthesis parameters were established and a basic technological scheme for the synthesis of Li1-xNi1+xO2 was developed. The electrical properties of lithium nickelate (electronic, ionic conductivity) and physical properties (particle size, specific surface area) were determined.
