COMPARISON OF ELECTROCHEMICAL METHODS FOR PROCESSING METALLISED TUNGSTEN WASTE UNDER AC AND DC CURRENTS
A comparative analysis of metal tungsten electrochemical processing in ammonium carbonate solutions under the influence of direct and sinusoidal alternating current was carried out. The influence of current density 0,3–2,0 A/cm2, temperature 20–50 °С and ammonium carbonate concentration 0.5–1.0 M was studied. It was found that the highest rate of tungsten dissolution is achieved when using direct current, but alternating current makes it possible to process metallized tungsten waste to produce microdisperse powder based on WO2.
