A NEW METHOD TO CALIBRATE THE REFERENCE ELECTRODE “IN SITU” STUDYING PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS
An innovative method was suggested to determine the reference electrode potential. This method was tested in LiCl-KCl and LiCl-KCl-CsCl melts for the determination of Ag+/Ag thermodynamic data and for the calibration of AgCl (1 % mol)/Ag membrane electrode potential. Comparison of the obtained data with literature data was carried out. The optimum ranges of parameters of CVA method for obtaining reproducible values of chlorine potential are determined.
