Growth of Belida Fish Fry (Chitala sp.) With Diffrrent Feeds

Abstract Belida fish (Chitala sp.) is a freshwater fish that has economic value because it can be used as a food ingredient and ornamental fish. One of the important factors to support growth and survival is the right feeding. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of different feed mixtures on the growth and survival of belida fish fry. The design used in this study was a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 2 treatments and 2 replicates. The treatments given were treatment A (live silkworms Tubifex sp (50%) and comercial Hi Pro Vite Psp powder (50%) and treatment B (live silkworm Tubifex sp (50%) and commercial jelly worms (50%) with doses 5 % from total weight. The results of the analysis showed that different feed mixtures did not differ significantly in terms of relative length and retention of proein (2-tailed > α) but differed significantly in terms of relative weight, viability, feed efficiency and feed conversion ratio (2-tailed < α). The treatment with the highest value was treatment B with a relative weight growth value of 130.41%, relative length growth of 25.47%, protein retention of 39.24%, feed efficiency of 64.58% and feed conversion ratio of 1.55. Treatment B is the best feed mixture between the two treatments to produce optimal growth.
