Clarity in dermatological titles: an analysis of service provider title use in the UK
We investigated the use of titles used by dermatological service providers in the UK and found considerable inconsistencies and potential misrepresentation. Our analysis of 283 dermatological service provider biographies showed that almost half (43.8%) failed to clearly state their qualifications. These findings underscore the pressing need for regulatory reforms to protect patient safety and ensure transparency in professional representation.
