Bebaskanlah Kami, Ya Tuhan!: Tinjauan Terhadap Teologi Pembebasan oleh Leonardo Boff dan Solidaritas Allah oleh Choan Seng Song serta Kaitannya Dengan Korban Konflik Israel – Hamas

AbstractThis article examines the Israel-Hamas conflict through the lens of contextual theology, especially Leonardo Boff's Liberation Theology and Choan Seng Song's concept of God's solidarity. In this long-running conflict, both sides have suffered heavy losses, and many civilians have suffered. Boff's Liberation Theology approach presents Jesus as a liberator who fights for justice for the oppressed. It offers an alternative view that peace can be achieved when people choose to protect the rights of those who are vulnerable in the midst of conflict just as Jesus liberated. In addition, Song emphasizes that God did not abandon the victims of this war; God shared their suffering through the presence of Jesus Christ. In this way, Jesus becomes a form of divine solidarity, which reinforces hope for victims that they are not struggling alone. This article adopts an anthropological and praxis model in contextual theology, which not only emphasizes values but also invites readers to take concrete action in creating peace.
