YOUTH EVERYDAY CULTURE: SOCIAL NETWORKS AND BLOGS
The purpose of the study is to determine the extent to which the digital environment influences the everyday life culture of young people. The everyday life culture forms the basis of values and meaning of human life from day to day. The survey covered student’s life related to studies, relationships, daily activities, interests and hobbies, etc. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the consideration of youth everyday culture, social networks and blogs in the digital environment are systemic and integrated. The specifics of the study reveal the need to apply a cause-and-effect analysis of the phenomena under study. A significant portion of students confirmed that they subscribe to blogs and channels and watch them regularly. Clearly, the authors of these digital resources can influence the values of their audiences. The most interesting topic for young people is life and travel to different cities and countries. On the one hand, this is a new way of travelling and getting to know the world; on the other hand, it becomes a real tool for shaping the image of individual cities and entire states. Although the majority of respondents answered that their friends and acquaintances are mainly in the real physical environment, for many it is the digital environment that becomes a place of additional or even the main space for making friends. The majority of respondents turn to family and friends for help when problems arise and cite people in their immediate environment as a motivating and inspiring example. However, the authors consider the lack of role models in terms of the best moral human qualities or from heroic history to be a worrying trend. It is possible to apply the results of the research in philosophy, cultural studies, and pedagogy.
