The Effects of 12-Week Battle Rope Training on Health-Related Physical Fitness and Metabolic Health in Middle-Aged Women
This study aimed to verify the potential of battle rope training as a suitable exercise program for middle-aged women by analyzing the effects of a 12-week battle rope training program on their health-related physical fitness and metabolic health, leading to the following conclusions: First, an analysis of the effects of battle rope training on the physical fitness of middle-aged women revealed significant interaction effects between time and group in muscle strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance. In particular, the exercise group showed relatively higher values compared to the control group, indicating that battle rope training had a positive impact on improving muscle strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance in middle-aged women. This suggests that battle rope training can be utilized as an exercise program to enhance physical fitness and, consequently, promote overall health in middle-aged women.BR/ Second, the effects of battle rope training on the metabolic health of middle-aged women were significant for HDL-C and blood glucose levels, with significant interaction effects between time and group. The exercise group demonstrated greater improvements compared to the control group, indicating that battle rope training positively influences HDL-C levels and blood glucose regulation. Therefore, battle rope training can be utilized as an effective exercise program for improving metabolic health in middle-aged women.
