A Study on Major Sinsal (神殺) of Saju Myeongli

Sinsal (神殺), the term commonly used in Saju Myeongli and folk religions, is all the elements of Sajuganmyeong (看命) except hapchung (合衝) of sosik (消息) of yin and yang (陰陽) and Saenggeukjehwa (生剋制化) of five elements and stems and branches (五行干支). However, the logic that Gilsin and Hyungsal are composed and drawn is not changed and the people who say and use them should be aware of the logic. CheoneulGwiin (天乙貴人) was drawn from the relationship between Seonhucheonpalgwae (先後天八卦) and Cheonganhap (天干合) in the study of divination. Gongmang (空亡) and Sipakdaepae (十惡大敗) which were regarded as most important in the method of selecting auspicious days (擇日) were done from the process to create the sexagenary cycle by combining the lowest common multiples of heavenly stems and earthly stems and especially, Goegwang (魁罡) which was considered big Hyungsal in women’s fate was done from the relationship between Ogigyeongcheon (五氣經天) and Oun (五運) related to Cheonganhap.
