THE EFFECT OF NEPHELINE SLUDGE ON THE STRENGTH OF ASPHALT CONCRETE
The reasons for the decrease in compressive strength of asphalt concrete samples when adding 5 wt. %. nepheline sludge from the Achinsk alumina combine as a mineral powder have been studied. It is shown that with an increase in the shelf life of nepheline sludge in the sludge storage, its porosity and surface area increase, which entails a high bitumen capacity and a decrease in the strength of asphalt concrete prepared using 20-year-old nepheline sludge.
