Literature Review: Differences Between International Marketing And Global Marketing
In an era of increasing globalization, companies around the world are trying to expand their reach into international markets. However, the approaches used to achieve this goal can vary significantly. Global marketing focuses on product uniformity and brand image throughout the world, while international marketing emphasizes adapting marketing strategies based on local conditions. Understanding these differences is very important for companies to determine the most effective strategies in reaching consumers in various countries. This article discusses the differences between global marketing and international marketing, as well as the challenges faced in implementing marketing strategies in international markets. Global marketing focuses on uniformity of product and brand image throughout the world with minimal adjustments, as is done by companies such as Apple and Coca Cola. In contrast, international marketing emphasizes adapting marketing strategies based on local conditions, including culture and consumer preferences, as is done by McDonald's by adapting their menu in each country. The main differences between these two approaches include the way they deal with the market, the degree of product customization, and promotional strategies. Challenges faced in global marketing include cultural differences, local regulations, and local competition, while digital technology provides opportunities to reach consumers globally at lower costs. In conclusion, the choice between these two strategies depends on the product, consumer preferences, and business goals, so companies need to consider both internal and external factors when determining the right marketing approach.
