DEVELOPMENT OF AN OCCUPATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY FOR MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES
Occupational safety in organizations is aimed at preserving the life and health of employees, as well as the prevention of occupational diseases and the prevention of accidents that can lead to occupational injuries. According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the employer is obliged to provide employees with safe working conditions. At the same time, examining the practical activity of a person, it can be concluded that it is impossible to achieve absolute security. On the one hand, work brings benefits, on the other hand, it has a huge impact in the form of dangerous and harmful industrial factors that lead to occupational diseases, injuries and even death. Occupational risk management is a set of interrelated measures and procedures that are elements of the occupational health and safety management system. Risk assessment is a part of the risk management process and is a structured process that identifies ways to achieve goals, analyzes the consequences and likelihood of dangerous events in order to decide whether risk needs to be treated using various techniques. A number of methods for assessing occupational risks are characterized by subjectivity, the lack of clear criteria for assigning certain values to parameters, the unjustified division of the scales of probability of adverse events, and the lack of a link between risk assessment and specific technical and technological parameters of production processes. However, none of the Russian regulatory and methodological documents specify ways to optimize professional risk management. The authors of the article propose a way to improve occupational safety at a manufacturing enterprise by identifying objective hazards through the development and application of their own methods for assessing occupational risks.
