SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS OF THE PILOT PRODUCTION OF THE KONDINSKOYE OIL FIELD

Pilot production is the key step providing the operator with additional information on the geological and commercial characteristics of reserves and formations, complex geophysical and hydrodynamic studies of wells in order to ensure commercial production. That’s why determining effective development scheme, completions, and operating modes are essential from the first months of developing the field's reserves. Parameters of well spacing, drilling and recovery rates define the economic indicators of the production process.Kondinskoye is one of the last major oil fields in the West Siberian oil and gas province, started with pilot production. It is part of the Erginsky cluster, formed by a group of fields of low-permeability, highly dissected reservoirs. Main reserves are located in «AS» layers of a deep-water sedimentation, and heterogeneity of filtration complicates the choice of technologies for the efficient development. Because of low-permeability reservoirs, optimal well spacing in oil fields is a factor that determines the production rate, oil recovery factor, operating costs, environmental impact and economics of the project. When selecting the optimal development system at the trial operation stage, it is also necessary to take into account the type of wellbore, the method of well completion, and the operating mode of the production facility. These parameters determine both the final level of oil recovery and the economic efficiency of the project at various stages of implementation. The intensity of selection in the initial period of development will increase efficiency and, accordingly, implement and study a larger number of different well placement and completion systems. The most reliable way to determine the effectiveness of systems is to use various development elements in areas that are close in terms of geological structure. This paper presents results of testing approaches to the well spacing and its completion for pilot production at hard-to-recover reserves.
